You will need
- A Felicity Solar LiFePO4 battery with RJ45 communication ports.
- A USB charger and a socket nearby.
- 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi reaching the battery.
1. Identify the RS485 port
Felicity batteries have RJ45 communication ports marked RS485 and CAN, sometimes with a second pair used to link batteries together. Use a free RS485 port. If your inverter already uses the only RS485 port, send us a photo before connecting.
2. Connect the cable and power
Plug the supplied RJ45 cable into that port and into the box. Connect the box to USB-C power; the screen turns on.
Connect only to communication ports, never to the battery terminals.
3. Join your Wi-Fi
On your phone, join the network named after the box. The setup page opens: choose your Wi-Fi, enter its password, and set a password for your dashboard.
4. Open the dashboard
Go to http://moniwatt.local or the IP address shown on the screen. The first battery readings appear in seconds.
Help
- No data: check that the cable is in RS485, not CAN or a link port.
- Only one of several batteries: set the number of batteries in the settings.
- Anything else: write to [email protected] with a photo of the ports.
